Created and launched in November 2011 by husband and wife David & Kimberley, Team Hodgkins aims to show and compete horses for themselves, as well as on behalf of owners and studs in the UK.

With over 40 years equestrian experience between us, we have concentrated on our own horses to date, and the results truly speak for themselves. 
Bought as a weanling, our beautiful purebred Irish Draught gelding Elmhurst Mandata (pictured below) won 3rd place at the Irish Draught Annual Breed Show in 2009, a class and Championship win at the South West Irish Draught Show in August 2010, as well as consistent top three placings at County Level for the last 5 years.  This was a fantastic time for us, and a huge achievement to qualify and be placed as amateur producers amongst some well-known names, and even more so with a horse that had been produced and brought through the levels, all in our spare time.

We are now concentrating our efforts on the Cleveland Bay, a rare and endangered British breed, and having learnt so much about them in the past 2 years from our friends Mr & Mrs Green (who have been highly respected breeders since 1976), Team Hodgkins will be showing Cleveland Bays' in order to help promote their diminishing profile and increase awareness in the horse world.  In fact, we wish to dedicate our website to Colin & Margaret, as they have inspired us in such a way that we will never forget their passion and knowledge of the Cleveland Bay. 

Now that 2012 is here, we are in the process of purchasing our own future star, Tregoyd Vogue, as well as having been approached by other Cleveland Bay owners who would like our help by showing their horses too.  Check out our "Horses Competing" link above for more information on these fantastic opportunities.

We are currently based in North East Hampshire, and plan to travel all over the UK to County and National level competitons in 2012, including the Three Counties, Equifest and Great Yorkshire Shows.
